  • Snipers and linear fusions: One-shot precision. Train quick-scope flicks on head-level targets at varying horizontal distances. Snipers in Crucible reward pre-aimed lanes plus a fast final correction.

Sensitivity, DPI, and cm/360 for Destiny 2

The most important sensitivity decision is the physical distance your mouse travels to turn 360 degrees, called cm/360. A lower cm/360 turns faster; a higher cm/360 gives finer precision. If you play both, split your weekly training rather than trying to cover everything each day. Two Crucible-focused sessions and two PvE-focused sessions per week produce better results than four sessions that try to touch every skill.

Common Aim Mistakes Destiny 2 Players Make

Some habits look harmless in casual play but cap your ceiling once you push into higher lobbies or endgame content.

  • Crosshair placement at chest height: Many players hold their crosshair on the body line of expected enemy positions. In Destiny 2 that costs damage on every engagement because precision hits are located higher. Retrain your default hold to head level, especially around common peek angles in Crucible maps.

Push drill difficulty up whenever your accuracy consistently stays above 85 percent. Smaller targets, faster movement, tighter reaction windows. Staying at a comfortable level feels productive but stops building new skill after the first week.
